i feel really guilty about not posting this earlier, but lately i've been really busy with school, sports, homework, etc and i've had hardly any time to go on poly! but i'm here now, so i should probably introduce myself! c:

i'm thirteen years young, blowing out my candles on the fourteenth of august! c:
 
i'm from new zealand, and i am one hundred percent proud of that. there isn't really any other place i want to live more, to be honest!
 
i play a fair amount of sports. i'm doing five this year. i think that's more than most of the girls in my year last year, that were sportier than me. in the summer i play touch rugby and tennis (i'm not very good at both), and in the winter i play netball, basketball and badminton. i actually really enjoy sports to be honest! i also used to play hockey and soccer when i was little too!
 
i'm about 5'8, 5'7 tall. i'm tall for my age. i don't know how much i weigh, as i haven't been on a scale since like 2010. i'm not too conscious about my weight.
 
uhh... i'm in a lot of fandoms, and i mean a lot. to name a few, there is:
 
- harry potter
- doctor who
- the hunger games
- percy jackson
- star wars
- taylor swift (shut up.)
 
and many, many others that i would also write, but i don't want to bore you guys to death about all my fandoms and shiz.

Sarah is 16 and has lived under the wings of her parents all her life. Her father (a pastor) has a church they attend regularly as a family. Sarah's noticed that Max, a cutie that usually sits a couple rows across from her has had his eyes on her for the past month or so. He moved into town with his Aunt, and she's heard he's got a record. They start talking outside of church and gatherings for a while and things heat up fast. Sarah's dad is the protective kind, so she knows better not to suggest them dating. One day, Max drops a serious question on her. He wants to get out of town, run away, and go somewhere where she's both never been to find some adventure. He says he's got a bunch of saved up cash and people around that he knows. Could this be her chance for fun? or a wish for a ride down the wrong path?
 

Chris loves Melony with all his heart. They meet up at school whenever they can, go out on perfect dates, go over each others' houses, rarely ever fight - a great relationship. But things change when Melony falls into the wrong crowd and starts to loose herself. He does just about all he can to turn her feelings back to him, but it's like a constant struggle. He speaks his mind and gets nothing back from her but maybe a kiss on the cheek and an "sorry. call you later, bye." Chris soon here some rumors of cheating spreading. The thing is, she values her friends deeply, especially because they helped her through some rough times and the best way she knows how to thank them right now is to let them go with her to California for a talent search. However, one's 1 month pregnant, one is extremely boy crazy & arrogant, one likes to drink, and the other doesn't have a bone of talent in her body. DRAMA & THRILLER
Hillary takes up a summer job she's been looking forward to. She's finished her junior year and it's on to money and fun under the sun. The best part about it is she's doing the job with her best friend, so it'll be pretty sweet. One Sunday night on her shift, it's a little darker outside and she has a weird feeling but ignores it. Her friend is in the back, stocking and organizing things. It's a slow hour, so she has her headphones in and is looking down at a magazine. When she looks back up to keep aware, there's a woman, masked, pointing a gun at her. And before she can say anything, she is shot at and sees her friend standing over her in a panic as she black outs. She wakes up in the hospital with family by her side and briefly thinks "what time is it?" "why did this happen?" and "who was she?"
 
Kyle is a cool, popular guy looking for fun on a Friday night. He grabs some friends and they head over to a cute girl's house to swim, play some pool, and do whatever else with a group of people. Later in the night, they're all gathered around in a circle, playing 7 minutes in heaven. On his turn, the bottle lands on Holly, a girl on his bus that he's pretty in to. They go into the walk in closet together and find it awkward at first, but start getting hot & heavy. Kyle is on his back and as he looks up, he sees what looks to be a black demon with an unforgettable, terrifying face. He loudly screams, then wakes up and for a moment, is glad it was just a dream. But as he comes to senses and looks around him, he realizes, he's nowhere near his home.
 
Tracy babysits a the neighbor's daughter on weekdays. She's a very sweet girl, but has down syndrome, and is very functional and has a lot of curiosity. As usual, tracy gives her a PB & J sandwich so she can sit out on the deck and eat it. When tracy comes back out to give her her juice, she's nowhere in sight. Tracy calls her name - no answer. She looks around in the backyard everywhere - nothing. She goes across the street and asks the kids playing if they saw her - nothing. Tracy's heard of a bunch of sex offenders, kidnappers, and urban legends, especially about the woods behind their houses, but they didn't become real until this moment. Her heart starts to beat faster as thoughts run through her mind telling her what to do. Her last option is to go into those woods.

So this is a tip about getting your parents to let you join a sport - the right way! :)

GET THEM FAMILIAR WITH IT
If your parents don't know much about the sport, let them know about the pros and cons. Let them know what goes down and what's required. Ask a friend who plays it for advice & info, then write notes down and tell them what it's really like. Do some research and show them highlights or videos of the awesome things about it.
 
SHOW THEM YOU REALLY LOVE THE SPORT
Make a presentation,
 
GIVE YOUR REASONS
Make a presentation, list, or letter about the reasons why you want to do this sport. Here are some things you might want to say
- It'll give me confidence
- I'll gain more friends & respect
- I'll have pictures, memories, and cool gear
- It's a way to get fit, healthy, and focused
- It teaches responsibility, trust, and work ethic
- It's something to do with my time
- It's something to be really proud of (trophies, awards, recommendations, success)
- There are breaks between seasons & time to improve or decide for sure if that's what i want to do
Don't be oblivious to the obvious negatives, though
- Less time for schoolwork & other activities
- Expense
- Injuries
- Embarrassment & frustration
- Changing of schedules
- People you don't get along with or who don't respect you
- Long & hard practice or rough coaches
- Dedication & travel
 
BRING THEM TO GAMES OR PRACTICES
Seeing is believing. Your parents will get a real feel of how fun & intense a sport can be when they go watch it. The expressions & attitude of the people doing it, cheering & spirit, team work - all that can really change their mind. Interaction is one of the best ways to grasp the idea of something. Watch your parents' reactions and reassure them.
 
DON'T PUSH IT, BE NICE & EARN THEIR TRUST
No parent likes when you ask for something too much. That alone can make them not want to let you do something. Don't fall into a pattern of begging, then complaining. Don't question they're thinking because that'll anger them and make them think you view their ways as stupid and bad parenting. If you have a positive outlook and bright smile, it's hard to say no. They also have a lot to think about. You're their child and they want the best for you. If they do say no, don't give up. Just respect their decision and they might come around. Subtly talk to them about it occasionally, but don't bother them.
If you have a history of not following through on what you say you'll do (like chores, finishing homework, etc.), vowel to start doing nice things for them and show you can be responsible. They need to know you can do the basic things they ask of you before you can do something extra.
 
SHOW YOU'LL BE COMMITTED
Have siblings or your parents help you with this, or even just do it yourself. Start practicing and training for the sport. Get them used to seeing you do it. Get your own equipment, get outside, and do it. Ask if they want to join, teach them, and pretty soon, they'll like it too.
 
REMEMBER
If someone else in your family gets to do something and you don't it's okay. Don't compare yourself. If you look closely, you might see why you're not allowed to do it.
If you don't end up getting to do the sport, it's okay. If it really is a passion for you, you can find ways to do it outside of a team and have enough fun with that! :)

The most common figure proportion for women is the pear shape. Pear-shaped women have a relatively slimmer upper torso and bigger hips, waists and thighs. Pear shaped bodies should wear clothes that minimize the hip and thigh area and wear designs that will draw the attention to the upper part of the body and also additionally the area below the knee to draw outward and lengthen that central area.
 
A common mistake is to think that Pear Shaped women are overweight, this can be far from the truth as many pear shaped women can be quite skinny.

To create that body balance you will need to take emphasis away from the hips and draw it to the top half of your body. You can do this very easily by choosing tops with the right style and shape and also choosing bold designs and colours.
 
Tops should be fitted and not baggy and should finish at the top of your hips to emphasize your well-defined waist. Avoid tops and short jackets that end at your bum because these draw the eye to your larger middle section.
 
The most flattering tops for the pear shape women should be of about three quarter length, this length will effectively cover your less than flattering areas which are going to be your hips, bottom and thighs.
It can be really fun to be creative with the tops you wear. You will find that it is difficult to go wrong when choosing tops with colour, detail and pattern that will draw the eyes upwards and the neckline is the perfect place for detail.
 
Blouses and tops with beautiful patterns and textures draw attention up to your upper body up to your beautiful face. Striped jumpers can visually add inches to your top half to balance broad hips too.
 
Choose wider necklines like bateau, squared or cowl necks to show off the neckline and shoulders.
 

&&JEANS
Pears usually get frustrated when trying on jeans, for one. Here’s a scenario: so you see these really fiercely fab jeans in the store and they’re on sale. You take them off the rack and try them on. You have to practically squeeze your hips into them and when you finally have them on, there’s a gaping space along the waist. Heartbreaker, huh? But really, with a lot of pear shaped real women out there, why don’t the designers and manufacturers come up with a pair of jeans for the Pears? (Baby Spice of the Spice Girls and Kate Winslet the actress are Pears themselves.) But well, until they've caught on, we better work on with what’s available to us at the moment.
 
So, let’s start with the right bottoms for our booty-licious Jeans for Pears:
 
Avoid light, paler and ‘washed look’ jeans that may have the worn look around the upper leg and body section as this will draw the eye to this area. Choose darker shades of denim that will give more of a slimming effect. Darker blues, dark greys, blacks and browns are the best shades to work with and will still give you that classical denim jeans look. Jeans with fading below the knee can also work well for you.
 

&&JACKETS
Jackets and coats follow the same rule as the tops, the length of the coat can be either
 
waist length or three quarter which will cover your problem area without making you look bulky.
 
Avoid shorter jackets and coats that end at your bum though as this will draw the eye to your large middle section with a horizontal line.
 
Shoulder detail can be flattering here along with also a pattern or detail to the cuff area or breast area of the coat. Double breasted coats will give the desired balanced look.
 
Accessorize your coat or jacket with a coloured scarf or broach Wear lighter shades or more brightly colored tops to balance the darker bottom.
 

&&SKiRTS
A-line skirts, wraps and dresses are the best for Pears because they skim through those lovely curves without making them look baggy and unshapely.
 
Skirts that are flat-fronted or softly pleated will emphasize your smaller waist areas.
 
Avoid short, tight skirts as they emphasize those problematic areas along the hips and thighs.
 
Avoid clingy materials like Lycra because these will define those extra bumps along the hips and thighs we’d like to hide.
 
Finally, remember that heels not only make you feel and look taller, they also add a few inches to your legs while making your hips and bottoms look smaller.
 

&&DRESSES
For you pear’s the key when it comes to buying that perfect dress is to draw all the attention up top, you should show off your fabulous arms, back and busts.
 
Strapless dresses will look gorgeous on you but if you don’t feel daring enough to show of all that skin try a halter neck, halter neck dresses are fitted up top which will show off your waist. Dresses with spaghetti straps will give your shoulders a broader appearance and help balance you out.
 
The easiest way to balance a bottom-heavy figure is to choose a dress that skims over the lower half of the body. Full or A-line skirts will skim your curves beautifully with out adding bulk to your shape.
 
Try dresses that have some kind of embellishment up top whether it be ruffles, pattern or luxurious texture, it will all help to add a little more volume to your bust.
 
If you're flexible with colour choice your best bet is to opt for dark colors on the bottom. Light colours look great on you also but stick to wearing them up top, a small cardigan or shawl in a lighter colour would compliment your dress and bring the eye up and away from your wider bottom.
 

&&BiKiNiS
To be able to choose the perfect bikini for the pear shape firstly you need to understand your body shape and what areas you should draw attention to and what areas you should draw attention away from.
 
To create that body balance the pear shape woman should take emphasis away from the hips and draw it to the top half of your body. As bikinis are separate tops and bottoms they can be mixed and matched using design, pattern and colour to create that perfect bikini for a pear shaped woman.
 
Pear shaped figures should go for halter neck tankini tops, they will help to maximise the bust and broaden the shoulders too. Halter neck bikinis are also perfect for creating a fab cleavage and will help draw eyes up top.
 

&&UNDERWEAR
Underwear for pear shaped ladies should aim at visually increasing the breast size and also reducing the size of the hips and bottom! Don't forget that what you wear underneath your well chosen clothes also makes a difference to the way you feel too!
The pear shaped woman usually has a smaller breast, today it is quite easy to compensate and give yourself a boost in this area with the help of a push-up bra or a Wonderbra, not only will this make you feel more blessed along the chest area but the padded bra will also help to balance your larger middle area.

So, i'm gonna give you a list of things to pack for camp, besides the necessities.
 
1. A sweat shirt
2. A Flashlight
3. A notebook
4. Pens (extra, just incase!:)
5. sunscreen
6. a book (in case you have extra time)
7. Marshmallows (for smores...DUH!)
8. Chocolate (more smores!:)
9. a towel
10. Conditioner and shampoo (obviously, you probably wouldn't of forgotten this:)
11. a sleeping mask (in case one of the girls decides she needs some light:)
12. lotion (this is good to put under sunscreen)
13. lip balm/chap stick
14. a robe (good to have over your PJ'S!
15. something to remind you of home! (just in case you get home sick:)

SO, I love to dance! & actually my recital earlier today! #woopwoop I had rehearsal Wednesday & Thursday and yesterday afternoon. Then I had my recital last night and ALL DAY today! So here are a few ways to be ready, and specifically tips how and what to do.

{BEFORE YOU GO; PREPERATiON}
 
01. STRETCH
Before you start getting ready make sure to warm up & stretch before you arrive. Especially for Ballet & Jazz, because you need to be prepared and ready.
 
02. ORGANiZE
Know your schedule! Have your shoes and costumes completely together and in order. make sure you know ALL the details about hair and such as well.
 
03. TiMiNG
Make sure to plan ahead. Give yourself plenty of time to get ready so you will not be late!
 
04. MENTAL PREP.
Seriously!(: Go through all your dances in your head before you go on stage. If you can'd do them in your head practice, practice, practice! You have to know it so you won't rely on others on stage.
 
{TiME TO GET READY!}
 
01. MAKE UP!
Make sure to have plenty of time for make up! Remember this is STAGE MAKE UP meaning you have a lot to do, and a heavy amount.
you need:
foundation
blush (LOTS OF THIS:)
eye liner (on the bottom and top of you eye)
bright lip stick (pink or red)
eye shadow (an earthy tone)
mascara
eyebrow pencil (to outline your eyebrows)
 
this is stage make up, so put it on heavier then you normally would, but not so you look like a clown(:
what is stage make up for?
it's for all the lighting! And you look normal from on stage, since the lights drown you out.
 
02. HAiR
hair and make-up take the longest. Make sure you know for sure ahead of time what your hair is supposed to look like for each dance. Especially if you have quick changes, which i defiantly did! haha(: For ballet and the majority of my dances, the hair is, of course, a bun. A couple things to remember about a bun is that it needs to be tight, secure, high, and flat.
here are some tips:
 
A bun means HIGH (it's a low bun, they will probably specify) and it's supposed to be on the crown of you head. Make sure to get it in a tight pony tail first! If the ponytail is to loose, it will be hard to get your hair secure. Also, make sure your ponytail isn't crooked, or it will throw off the bun.
 
While you are sticking hair and bobby pins into your hair make sure you're holding it down so it's flat.
 
Always use a hairnet. wrap it around as many times as it will go. This will help the bun not be too tall as well.
 
03. COSTUME
costume time! When putting on your costume, make sure to have the right color of tights on & know everything about it. (Ex. if you are supposed to have matching flowers in your hair, any special things for your arms, etc.)
 
{AT THE RECiTAL}
A few things to remember are;
1. if you are at a big theater with a balcony, look at the balcony. Otherwise, it will look like your are looking at your feet.
2. SMILE! always smile(: show people that you are enjoying it!
3. Chin ups! haha always remember to hold your head up high.
4. have fun and look b-e-a-utiful!

- Pay attention to body language & expressions to judge what you should do
- Be aware if they have been drinking, have been / are with another partner, or don't have good intentions
 
THE BASICS;;
- A kiss should be a soft, not too firm touching of the lips with lips overlapping each other. You kiss the top or bottom lip, or both lips on him
- You need to relax your lips, mouth, jaw, neck & body Tensing up makes the kiss feel forced & not passionate
- Being attracted to the person, being in the right mood, and doing things at the right time is key.
- Know the experience of both of you and set your limits
- Start out gentle, not rough
- Giggle, say sexy things & don't be too serious. Have fun with it :)

Okay so the first body type I'm gonna do is hourglass! Some celebrities with this body type are: Marilyn Monroe, Beyonce, Catherine Zeta Jones, Scarlet Johansen, Jessica Biel, and Bridget Bardot.

I'm an hourglass! My waist is ten inches smaller than my chest and hips.
 
Did you know that only 8.4% of women have the hourglass figure? Contrary to the body shapes of most supermodels, the hourglass figure is round and curvy, with a well-defined waistline, fuller hips and bust and generous thighs. Probably because of this change in the concept of beauty, many hourglass figured women try to hide their curves. If not, some of these women find it difficult to find the right type of clothes for their body type.
 
Since the hourglass is considered the perfect feminine shape, there is not much to be done but to accentuate this particular figure. If you are one of these lucky few, all you really need is to dress smartly and look for clothes that silhouette your figure rather than hide it.
 

~~ WHAT TO WEAR ~~

Many women try to hide and cover up their curves in lose fitting clothes, now is the time to embrace those curves and show off your most envied assets; your perfect proportions and tiny waist!
 
Classic cuts teamed with trendy accessories will have you looking as fabulous as your less endowed sisters. Be careful not to overdo your clothes with ruffles, bows and other frills as your figure itself is enough to draw attention so keep everything simple and you’ll be smashing.
 
Ideal tops for the hourglass shape are scooped or V necks as these will accentuate your bust. Wrap tops and tops with belts are also good for the hour glass women, the belt or tie will be a feature and style will fall on your slender waistline.
 
When looking at fabrics aim to buy sheer, soft, clingy fabrics and avoid stiff bulky fabrics and design as they will not be figure hugging. The vertical striped tops can be a good way of elongating your body especially if the garment is fitted or gathered in, this will give the effect of drawing the stripes into your narrow waist area.

As an hour glass you are able to pick any length. Tailored longer coats can work well, especially with belts or small pleated waist detail a simple button under the bust can draw attention in the right places.

A-lines are another skirt great for you hourglasses. As long as they are fitted around the waist and hits and don’t flare out from the waist you will look gorgeous in them.
 
Fitted jackets teamed with skirts or strapless dresses all suit those with an hourglass shape. Fitted dresses, trousers in drapy fabrics, slim skirts and heeled shoes with rounded or peep toes will have you looking great from day to night.
 

&&DRESSES
As you should know by now you have been blessed with easiest body shape to dress. Nothing needs to be hidden or enhanced since your shape is already proportional and you can pull off just about any dress you choose!
 
Although you can pull off almost all dress styles and shapes you do need to be careful when it comes to pattern or embellishment. Stay away from heavily beaded or over embellished dresses, they tend to make you appear heavier than you actually are and can leave you looking unbalanced.
 
Bodices look great with your body shape as they will enhance your natural curves accentuating the waist and lifting your bust. As far as length goes stick to the same rules as when buying a skirt, remembering that if you’re a little on the shorter side wear ¾ length dresses or just below the knee with a slit to make you look taller.
 
Strapless or off-the shoulder necklines are perfect for an hourglass shape. You really do have a lot of options so feel lucky to have been blessed with such a great body shape.
 

&&BiKiNiS
To be able to choose the perfect bikini for the hourglass shaped figure you firstly need to understand your body shape and what areas you should draw attention to and also what areas you should pull attention away from.
 
Being hourglass your very lucky that most styles will suit you, however bikinis are a great choice for the hourglass figure and will allow you to show off that fabulous figure more than if you were to wear a tankini or swimsuit.
 
Under wiring in bikini tops will also help lift your large breasts. A longer tankini top can be a good choice as they come with supporting control panels to help suck you in and emphasise that tiny waist even more.
 

&&UNDERWEAR
The hourglass women may have a tendency to want to cover up their ample chest area as they feel they are too large at the top, some try to squeeze into bras with a smaller cup size as a hope to reduce the emphasis on the bust.
